Yesterday I arrived to Redmond to participate in the yearly Silverlight Partner Summit – a summit with focus on the future of Silverlight.
Through Twitter I discovered that the Seattle Silverlight Users Group held their first meeting at building 40 at Microsoft. After walking around the Microsoft campus in 30+ minutes I finally found the building – only a little bit frozen.
About 30 people joined the meeting and it was great talking to some of the local Silverlight geeks. Scott Stanfield (CEO at Vertigo) gave a short presentation of some of the stuff that Vertigo have made in Silverlight and talked about why Vertigo has chosen Silverlight as technology.
I also talked to Adam Kinney (technical evangelist at Microsoft) trying to get the release date of the go-live license to Silverlight 4 beta. He obviously loves his job to much to tell such secrets…
